National Park Service 100 th Anniversary Celebration: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

The Appalachian State University Office of the National Park Service Liaison is hosting a celebration of the U.S. National Park Service Organic Act on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. The event will feature four guest speakers (Kevin Adams, J. Scott Graham, Andrea Lankford, and Anne Mitchell-Whisnant) who are presenting on their careers and experiences visiting and working in the national parks. Following sessions from each speaker, there will be a concluding question and answer panel. The celebration will take place between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Ballroom of the Plemmons Student Union on the Appalachian State University campus. Light hor d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the event. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
